5. Public Data

Guard profiles with public visibility enabled display: first name and last initial only, SIA licence category and status, expiry date, vetting score percentage, home city or region, availability status and travel regions. Full name and SIA licence numbers are never displayed publicly.

Company profiles display: company name, region, services, ACS status and compliance declaration status. Email addresses are never shown publicly.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a CSRF token cookie for security. We do not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies.

10. Data Security

SIA licence numbers are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

11. Directory Listings

Our directory includes approximately 11,500 UK security companies sourced from the public Companies House register (SIC code 80100). This data is publicly available. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Companies may opt out by emailing privacy@guardregister.uk.

12. Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users of any material changes to this policy by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
